Jo and Ted met at his father’s church in Camden, Arkansas during their high school years. They were married in 1976 and have two married children and five grandchildren. Jo came to know Christ as a nine year old in Hot Springs Arkansas; Ted was saved at the age of ten in Mobile, Alabama.
Ted attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield Missouri while Jo went to Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Before coming to the Lighthouse Children’s Homes in 2003, they had started and helped establish Fellowship Baptist Church in Bearden, Arkansas.
They left Bearden after twenty three years and went full time with the Lighthouse Children’s Homes. The couple had been for many years associated with the homes, founded by Larry and Paula Neff, college classmates of Ted. Currently they reside in Powell, Tennessee and travel representing the homes as they minister to families across America. In addition to traveling they assist the Neff’s with special projects and operations of the seven homes.
To reach our goals of reaching children, restoring homes and raising up the next generation to serve Christ in the local church, we are available for Family Revivals, Missions Conferences, Sunday School Teachers and Children’s Workers Seminars. We also do VBS, youth camps and Kids Crusades. Jo is also an excellent speaker for ladies’ meetings and functions.
“Thank you for your continued prayer and concern for the Lighthouse children. Because of your Church and many other like-minded Churches we have been able to raise over 900 children since we started the first Lighthouse home in 1978. May the Lord bless you for helping us to reach homeless and needy children for Christ.
The purpose of this letter is to introduce you to Ted and Jo Mock. The Mock’s are a fine couple that have dedicated themselves to the service of the Lord. The Mock’s have left the business world and are now traveling full-time as field representatives for the Lighthouse Homes. Ted and Jo have been a blessing to every Church, large or small, as they have traveled and ministered. They are independent, fundamental Baptist folks who helped to plant a Church in Arkansas 30 years ago that is still thriving today. Their goal in each Church they visit is to be a blessing to the people and an encouragement to the pastor.
Ted Mock is an excellent preacher, and Jo is an accomplished ventriloquist. God is using them greatly in revival meetings, youth conferences, mission conferences, ladies meetings, men’s meetings, VBS’s, camps, and special days.
I encourage you to contact Brother Ted about a revival meeting or any other special event that you are planning. The Mocks have held meetings in many large and small Churches; they will be a blessing to your Church!! They will also acquaint your people with the Lighthouse Homes. They are prepared to show an eight minute DVD presentation of the Lighthouse Children’s Homes that will allow your people to see what God is doing in the Lighthouse Homes in Mississippi, Costa Rica, and India.
Please give them a call today. Once again thank you for your concern, prayers, and financial help for homeless and needy children.”
The Night Cometh, Larry L. Neff
